Ladenburg Thalmann International (LTI) has a dynamic business in East European markets, primarily with Russia and Ukraine. LTI manages a local investment advisory company in Kiev (Ladenburg Thalmann Ukraine, or LTU) for a private equity, co-sponsored, USD $90 million fund called, Societe Generale Ladenburg Thalmann Ukraine Fund (the Fund), as well as a Brokerage operation. LTI operates and manages offices in Moscow and Sofia, with new offices to open in South East Asia shortly. On direct equity investments, LTU works with the local companies who: are interested in a financial partner, who can take the company to a listing in 3 to 4 years time on major European and North American stock exchanges, or can arrange for trade sale to a strategic partner; have solvent demand for their products and services; are willing to cooperate to creating transparent organizations, have financial information for the last 2-3 years, and are willing to be IAS audited; have experienced management teams; need USD $3 to $9 million of equity investment.
