The Association began its work in autumn of 1997 at the University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. It was founded by Vyacheslav Zapadnyuk, Bogdan Berezenko and Roman Bdaytsiyev and soon registered as "student organization at the NaUKMA". The Association's purpose is to outreach and propagand Plast ideas and life principles among students and Ukrainian public at whole. The Association of Studying Plast Youth was created to provide a communication among Plast-members who study at the University and to consolidate them. One of the most important Association's projects is the assistance to Plast-members who are going to enter the University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Among others there are such activities as organizing trips, outings and sails; partaking in different Plast summercamps, etc. The Association holds also meetings and discussions inviting Plast-members of outstanding personality. There are a lot of good ideas and projects but some of then need better financial circumstances. The treasury of the Association consists of contributions of its members and sponsors.
